With affiliate marketing, you offer the products for sale, for example, on your blog or e-commerce website. Each product has a unique link that tracks back to your account with your affiliate partner. A prospect who clicks on the link is taken to your partner’s shopping cart for checkout. Once they buy, that purchase is recorded and you receive a commission. Commission amounts vary depending on the affiliate partner, but is generally 5 percent to 25 percent, or 50 percent or more with digital information products.
If you do decide to promote Wealthy Affiliate, there are additional perks. For example, anyone who sells 299 subscriptions from January to December gets invited to the Wealthy Affiliate Super Affiliate Conference. There is no way to get into this conference unless you make 299 sales. Absolutely everything is paid for from the flight to the hotel room to entertainment and AMAZING food. Now, it is more of a focus with the company spending more and posting more product updates on its blog, slideshows about its marketing tools and questions to drive engagement on the platform.

Can you run a successful business by only using the free membership option at Wealthy Affiliate? Well, you can, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Instead, I recommend you sign up for the free Wealthy Affiliate membership as a way to try things out. Honestly, the free membership is set up to be a bit of a teaser to get you to sign up for premium eventually, but most of us expect that going in. What’s nice about it is you can judge for yourself, based on the free membership, whether it is worth it for you to sign up for premium. Ultimately, only you can decide if Wealthy Affiliate is high quality or not. You will get more than enough of an idea by signing up for their free membership option. On average, about 1 in every eight people upgrade to a premium membership.

Since this is simply a guide on how to successfully create and run your online business, am I allowed to cancel my membership after a period of time? I know that you said that there’s no limitation to cancelling my subscription, but what would be the benefit to continuing as a member even after I have learned all I needed and I’m successful in my business? What will I be losing if I opted to cancel after I’ve been successful? I’m just trying to learn if they (the founders of Wealthy Affiliate) expect people to pay the monthly or yearly fee forever or until they’ve acquired the success they desire.
