Hello Jack. I trust all is well with you. Please help me with a question I have. I would like to join wealthy affiliate after reading about your experiences with said company. I am new and know nothing about this business venture. I think, if I am correct being an affiliate is you are selling something on-line to the on-line public. And then you receive a commission for your sale. What I would like to know is after joining WA and studying their programs, you are set up and ready to go, where do you go to find products to promote and sell? And how do you know what products to promote? Is it like guessing , such as I think this product sounds like it ought to sell well and so on… please answer this one question. T hanks Jack. Have a good day I reside in Vancouver, British Columbia CANADA.
Just take amazon as an example. In order to earn money from Amazon, you have to sign up as a partner with them. Once you have signed up, you will be given a unique affiliate link. You can promote this link by placing it in your own website, etc. When people clicks on that link, and purchase something, you make a commission from the successful sale. You do not need to handle the transaction nor are you selling stuff. You are connecting potential buyers to retailers.
In the long-term, it affects your versatility, functionality, and, of course, your brand. In the short term, it can certainly add/take away a lot of headaches. That said, just like choosing a physical house or office, there is no such thing as an absolute “best” or “top” choice. There’s only the right choice relative to your goals, experience, and circumstances.
Wealthy Affiliate is a training program that teaches you how to do affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is an avenue where people can earn money promoting other people’s products or services. Technically, it works. And technically, it is “easy” – you don’t have to grab an embed code from Etsy and paste it in. You don’t have to really do much to make installation happen. However, Wix’s solution is still not ideal. Ideally, you’d have an app that was easy to install and fully integrated into your site. You’d have apps that don’t mess with your website analytics and don’t present accessibility issues like they do via Wix’s iFrame solution.
With that said, I want to fully disclose that I am indeed an affiliate for Wealthy Affiliate. If you click on any of my affiliate links, like this one, I get credit in the event you sign up for a paid membership option. If you do want to sign up for Wealthy Affiliate, clicking on my affiliate link is actually beneficial for you, too. If you sign up after clicking my link, I get notified and we are able to have private 1-on-1 conversations within’ the Wealthy Affiliate  community. This is a huge added benefit and all you have to do is use my affiliate link before signing up for your free account.
When I first started, it took me 2 hours during weekdays and 4 hours or more during weekends, and this schedule lasted for about 4 to 5 months. (That is till I got my first commission) Then now it is about 1 hour every weekday and 2 hours during weekends. Of course, I will work more if I have the time because I am passionate about my online business.
Of course you can say, well just compete. That’s the essence or free enterprise. But then, realistically, what are the chances of still succeeding in this WA promotion niche? There are already a lot of veterans way, way ahead — like YOU. For a newbie appreciating how excellently you have developed your promotion site, it looks like a very tall order to come up with something better and competitive. And mind you, you are not the only excellent site around promoting WA.
If you love leaving customer reviews on sites like Amazon, it may be beneficial to look into affiliate marketing as a source of income. Word-of-mouth advertising is still a huge lead generator for many companies, and a lot of businesses are willing to share a portion of their profits with persuasive individuals who will promote their products to the public.
For example, when I first started back in 2009, I learned from a service called Solo Build It. I knew absolutely nothing about building an online business, let alone what “affiliate marketing” even meant. However, they changed my life and taught me how to build money-making websites online, which is what I’ve been doing with my life ever since. This is another great service to consider and you can read my review of Solo Build It here.
Unfortunately, I am not acquainted with Indian Tax law, so I am not able to advice you on this. But, I would presume that if you earn income from affiliate marketing, your profit from the business will be tax under your personal income. That is unless you create a company to run the operation, then it will be subject to corporate tax, and the dividends receive from the company will be subject to your local personal tax.
I understand that WA has a built in solution to this — promote WA. That in itself is a business one can passionately dedicate himself to. This seems to be an excellent idea initially. But then we have to contend with the fact that there may be tens of thousands of WA affiliates who are in the same boat and who have nothing more to promote than WA itself. There is already a glut in this niche. That’s the reason why every time we do a search for product reviews, we almost ALWAYS end up with a product review done by a WA affiliate who is reviewing the product as a way to lead the visitor to joining WA as the better alternative to the business or product the visitor is researching on.

Solo Build It – As I stated earlier in this Wealthy Affiliate review, I initially learned how to start my own business with this service. Solo Build It is somewhat similar to Wealthy Affiliate as far as the training is concerned, but Solo Build It but I believe the training at Solo Build It is far superior. My favorite part about Solo Build It, however, is that they offer absolutely EVERYTHING you’ll ever need to grow your business online including domain registration, an intuitive site builder, research tools, hosting, and all the other tools you need are in one place with training on how to put it all together. You can learn a lot more about them by going through their video tour.
The primary purpose of any review, including this review of Wealthy Affiliate, is to help you decide if you should or should not sign up or purchase something. For starters, since you can sign up for a free account at Wealthy Affiliate, I think that is a no-brainer way to go. Don’t take my word or anyone else’s word for it, go see for yourself! There is no credit card required or anything like that. It’s completely free to try.
Hi Ippei. I agree with your review. When I first started researching online business I was intrigued by lead generation for small businesses. It’s something I really want to do , I just don’t understand why it has to be so expensive. One opportunity I pursued wanted thousands of $ upfront. WA won me over with an opportunity to get entry level basic online training for much less. While it’s not my ultimate plan, one has to start somewhere
Hey buddy. Maybe I missed where u might have mentioned whether you do this as your part time job or full time job. So I would love to know if you doing affiliate program as your part time job or full time. As I’m a full time student with loads of work at college and one year left to finish the course and move on to uni life. However, what would you recommend me about it whether it’s worth it if I start this as part time job or no. Although I joined affiliate program 2 years ago but I could not believe it whether it’s the right thing for me to do or no? so I quit.

This site is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I am a fit and frisky 56 y.o. single dad working 2 jobs, with an unquenchable thirst for learning new things. I’ve been surreptitiously studying the New Thought writers (from Atkinson to Proctor right up to some of the really sharp, young people creating YouTube videos). I think I’m getting a grip on the self-motivation and metaphysics of the whole thing, but am too scattered to decide exactly what kind of business to start! many of your 27 ideas I have some familiarity with (one of my old army buddies got me in to Bombardier Transport in early 2011 for 3 months to help meet a deadline on some tech pubs…it was a lot of fun! I was told I’m a natural, but could not find any more jobs in that sector….Oy Gevalt). Anyway, thank you so much for this site! I can give you a progress report every few months or so (including showing you how any websites I may be creating are doing). Happy New Year!
There are plenty of Wix complaints around the Internet. Some are justified and some aren’t – but all are anecdotal. Keep in mind that the big picture tradeoff for their convenience is lack of total control and advanced features. That’s not necessarily a Wix thing as much as it is a website builder thing. But within that context – here’s some individual considerations I’d look at when deciding if Wix is a good fit for you.
That depends on your experience, budget, and goals. WordPress has a steeper learning curve and requires more maintenance. But over the long-term, it offers much more versatility and options to grow. If you self-host WordPress (rather than use WordPress.com), it can also be much cheaper than Wix. Wix focuses on onboarding and pure ease of use for someone who wants a solid, maintenance-free website without the frustration of a web designer or figuring out HTML issues.

To get your e-commerce business up and running, all you need is a web hosting service with an integrated shopping cart feature or e-commerce software. To simplify the shipping process, you can work with vendors to ship products to customers on your behalf. This can reduce the amount of inventory you need to keep onsite. [Related: A Small Business Guide to E-Commerce Shipping]
Needless to say, I was blown away pretty quickly. Even by signing up for their free membership option, it was very apparent that Wealthy Affiliate does things differently. The community, recorded training, live ongoing weekly training sessions, live chat and support options, and business-like approach for beginners to pros alike really blew my mind.

Hello Jack, so the only other stuff we pay for is the tools needed like autoresponders and stuff to design your website, programmes that help you write a blog etc (although I understand there are some free ones). I had signed up to another company and really enjoying it but I had to keep on putting more money in if I wanted to progress, it wasn’t that cheap either! Thank you
If you are more interested in the coding side of building websites, freelance web development might be your wheelhouse. If you already know HTML, CSS or JavaScript and have a good eye for solving problems with creative solutions, you can launch a service to build attractive, easy-to-use websites for small businesses. If you need to learn the basics of web developing before launching your full-stack career, you can take a simple beginner's course to get started.
Like other website builders, using Wix is sort of like leasing and customizing an apartment in a gated development instead of buying and owning your own house. You’re still in control of decor, cleaning, and everything living-wise – but you leave the construction, plumbing, security, and infrastructure to the property owner. That point is key because there’s usually a direct tradeoff between convenience and control.
I am a HUGE fan of the “freemium” business model. Wealthy Affiliate follows that model by offering a free membership account. The free membership gives you limited access in the Wealthy Affiliate dashboard. Some of your access lasts forever, such as some of the training videos and community features, while other features only last for a limited time, such as the live chat feature. Here is what you get with the free Wealthy Affiliate Membership:

I’m signing up!!! I swore I would find a solution and I’ve been hunting and trying all sorts of programs that did not work out for me or were scams, and I’ve spent the past two years….two YEARS…trying to figure this out because it’s a matter of survival for me and so I’m not ready to give up all that energy and time spent…there has to be something out there that is the right fit for me. I’ve lost many friends and family connections due to this journey so I’m gonna give this a shot and prove to everyone and myself that there is a way!
To reach those audiences, Wix.com is allocating more of its digital marketing dollars to LinkedIn as well as Twitter, seeking the attention of professionals and opinion leaders, said CMO Omer Shai. This shift comes as the company has deprioritized television — save for its annual Super Bowl campaign — over the last two years with Wix.com spending the majority of its marketing dollars on digital, moving away from TV almost entirely.
