Hi jack, thanks for all of your help in this. I recently saw a webinar for inbox blueprint 2.0. Of course they did a great job selling. I found you while I decided to do a little more research on the topic. For beginners in online email marketing like me, what do you recommend. Inbox blueprint claims they guide you step by step, however you recommend Wealthy Affiliate in this article. If you were beginning in this industry but have tons of online knowledge, which program would you choose. Thanks!
Hi Ippei. I agree with your review. When I first started researching online business I was intrigued by lead generation for small businesses. It’s something I really want to do , I just don’t understand why it has to be so expensive. One opportunity I pursued wanted thousands of $ upfront. WA won me over with an opportunity to get entry level basic online training for much less. While it’s not my ultimate plan, one has to start somewhere
Having a blog may seem like an outdated business strategy, since nearly everybody already has one, but the competition should not deter you from starting this online business journey. If you love writing or have important information to share, blogging may be a profitable business for you. Starting a blog as a business is very simple with website builders like Weebly and WordPress, but the key to success is consistency and quality. To gain a steady following, you must continually write and produce high-quality content that provides value to your readers. Content that educates, informs or entertains your readers gives them a reason to follow you.
I appreciate your input on Wealthy Affiliate. I am considering joining but I have a few questions. One, what if I already have domain names and hosting? It seems part of the monthly fee provides hosting so will my fee be reduced? Also, I’m coming from AWOL Academy. I purchased AWOL’s first program to get started and learned a lot but I have been turned off by the very strong sales pitch they use to get you to pay $10,000 to be an elite member. Can you provide a comparison of the value of the educational content between AWOL and WA?
Some offers may have low commission or conversion rates: Not all affiliate offers were created equal. Some offers pay out more % per sale. Somer offers just don’t convert that well despite sending tons of traffic to them. It is important to pick a good offer that converts well & pays out high. Look for offers that are the most popular in your niche at clickbank.com, or look at other affiliates ranked on page 1 of Google within the niche and look at what type of offers they are promoting. Most likely those are the great offers to promote in the niche.
But there are problems with the domain specific email address. For some reason I can only receive emails. If I try to send or reply it gets caught in a perpetual loop and never gets sent. Technical support says it doesn’t see the problem. But their tests only use local servers which are not filtered thru a network. Will moving the domain to a different webhost fix this problem? I can’t be sure, but I need to look for a solution somewhere.
The internet changes so fast that one year online equals about five years in the real world. But the principles of how to start and grow a successful online business haven't changed at all. If you're just starting a small business online, stick to this sequence. If you've been online awhile, do a quick review and see if there's a step you're neglecting, or never got around to doing in the first place. You can't go wrong with the basics.
Now that I’ve read your article, it appears that what you’ve written makes since. I’m a truck driver, who’s just trying to make something different of his life. What makes you any different ? How can I be sure that you’ll offer the same support that SFM claims to provide, but for less money ? I’m not being skeptical, cautious at this point because I don’t have much money to waste, but I am looking to make a difference.
To get your e-commerce business up and running, all you need is a web hosting service with an integrated shopping cart feature or e-commerce software. To simplify the shipping process, you can work with vendors to ship products to customers on your behalf. This can reduce the amount of inventory you need to keep onsite. This site is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I am a fit and frisky 56 y.o. single dad working 2 jobs, with an unquenchable thirst for learning new things. I’ve been surreptitiously studying the New Thought writers (from Atkinson to Proctor right up to some of the really sharp, young people creating YouTube videos). I think I’m getting a grip on the self-motivation and metaphysics of the whole thing, but am too scattered to decide exactly what kind of business to start! many of your 27 ideas I have some familiarity with (one of my old army buddies got me in to Bombardier Transport in early 2011 for 3 months to help meet a deadline on some tech pubs…it was a lot of fun! I was told I’m a natural, but could not find any more jobs in that sector….Oy Gevalt). Anyway, thank you so much for this site! I can give you a progress report every few months or so (including showing you how any websites I may be creating are doing). Happy New Year!
I wouldn’t say you can’t be successful with a free domain, for example barenakedscam.siterubix.com, but having a personal domain will definitely help with branding and makes it more credible, plus there’s no restriction on the design if its your own domain. Free domains have certain restrictions in terms of the customization of the look and feel of the website.
I realize my bias is already showing through, so I’ll get to what I DON’T like about Wealthy Affiliate below. But, as I’ve already stated, overall I don’t know of any other place that is better for new affiliate marketers to get started than Wealthy Affiliate. If you take a look around my site, you’ll notice I’ve spent a TON of time on it. I’ve spent years of my life building this site, and there are currently almost 500 posts here, all for free, for everyone. It is in my best interest to promote only the best training course and that training course is Wealthy Affiliate.
If you don’t like to write, do not sign up for Wealthy Affiliate. The business model that Wealthy Affiliate teaches revolves around producing lots of great content to attract website visitors from search engines. This means, as you build your business, you’ll be writing just about every day, just like I do on this very blog you’re reading. I’ve already written almost 4,000 words in this one post alone, and it’s not even close to being finished yet. Affiliate marketing takes work, and if you are unable or unwilling to write a TON of content, don’t even consider getting into this. Being a writer will end up being your main job.
Of course you can say, well just compete. That’s the essence or free enterprise. But then, realistically, what are the chances of still succeeding in this WA promotion niche? There are already a lot of veterans way, way ahead — like YOU. For a newbie appreciating how excellently you have developed your promotion site, it looks like a very tall order to come up with something better and competitive. And mind you, you are not the only excellent site around promoting WA.
For your question on the length of time to be up and running, it is really subjective. If your speed of interpreting and executing the information is fast, you can be up and running in a matter of days, but if you take your time like I did, it will take probable 2 weeks to a month to be up and running. Making money is another story, it took me 4 months to make my first commission, some people took weeks while some people never see any results.
I have just started WA and to anybody who is considering this, it has ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING that you need to succeed in affiliate marketing, but it comes with a catch….there is a ton you have to learn. 50 lessons in all. Think of this as going to school to learn a trade. From what I hear on the WA chat, you might make a full time living at it in one, two years or never. The advantage is that it’s a dirt cheap career. But no short cuts here. You gotta work at it, part time, full time, off and on like a lot of people, but everything you need is there. It’s all up to you. The only limitation, the only unknown factor IS YOU.
It’s a great way to achieve freedom in your life. Not only does copywriting allow you to work remotely, but it also allows you to control your schedule. Plus, learning the skill itself will help you in many areas of online business (i.e. building a blog, affiliate marketing, etc. – when you can write in a compelling way, all of these become much easier!)
The primary purpose of any review, including this review of Wealthy Affiliate, is to help you decide if you should or should not sign up or purchase something. For starters, since you can sign up for a free account at Wealthy Affiliate, I think that is a no-brainer way to go. Don’t take my word or anyone else’s word for it, go see for yourself! There is no credit card required or anything like that. It’s completely free to try.
Wealthy Affiliate is also an excellent place for those who want to have everything they will need in one place. From market research tools to web building tools to domain registration, website hosting, website backups, site security, and much more, it’s all in one place. AND all of those tools come with complete step-by-step training videos as well as a support community that can help you if you’re having trouble. If you don’t want to pay 10 different companies for 10 different services you’ll need to run your business, sign up with Wealthy Affiliate to get it all in one place. Wealthy Affiliate literally provides absolutely everything you’ll need to succeed with your online business.
These pay-per-click ads appear on your blog. Every time somebody clicks on an ad (which is supposed to be about a subject related to your niche), you make a few cents or more. Small amounts each time, but it adds up. This is extremely hands-off. You just need to get a code from Google, place it on your website - and the ads will automatically appear on your blog. Google will only show ads that are relevant to your blog so it's a good experience for your visitors and maximizes the number of clicks you get, meaning more income.
