The internet changes so fast that one year online equals about five years in the real world. But the principles of how to start and grow a successful online business haven't changed at all. If you're just starting a small business online, stick to this sequence. If you've been online awhile, do a quick review and see if there's a step you're neglecting, or never got around to doing in the first place. You can't go wrong with the basics.
You make money with ad revenue. Your first step is to create a YouTube account and start uploading videos. Then you enable monetization on your YouTube settings. Basically, this gives Google the go-ahead to include short AdSense ads with your videos, which you've seen if you’ve watched a YouTube video. When viewers click on those ads, you get paid.
Often times Affiliate Marketing is Over-Hyped: You’ll see a lot of testimonials promising spectacular results with affiliate marketing, such as “person X made $60,000 in just 30 days as a brand new affiliate” & there’s many similar messaging like this that unfortunately give affiliate marketing the wrong perception, that its some sort of get rich quick scheme, which it is far from. This kind of insanely fast results most likely came from a successful Facebook ad or other successful paid aid. Sometimes due to multitude of factors an ad can just take off and generate high revenues for short period & then burn out. The difficulty is being able to sustain those kind of numbers consistently. FB for one doesn’t like most affilaite offers to be promoted, so eventually your FB ad account will get banned or your ad will burn through its audience and stop working. I know this because I’ve been there done that. Those massive pay days are fun but the real challenge is can you sustain it?
Hello! So this may have already been answered/asked and I missed it. If so, sorry! Do you have to purchase the products you are selling before the demand is there? For example, I start my website and all for sports gear. I have no product or customers yet. In order to get started, I have to buy 200+ items of sportswear to stock and supply my web business and then try to sell those items.
Hello Jack, so the only other stuff we pay for is the tools needed like autoresponders and stuff to design your website, programmes that help you write a blog etc (although I understand there are some free ones). I had signed up to another company and really enjoying it but I had to keep on putting more money in if I wanted to progress, it wasn’t that cheap either! Thank you

Pick an Interest. You must first choose a niche for your business. This could be anything from cars and electronics, to computers, clothing and food. It is best to select something that interests you and there are many highly profitable niches to choose from. But if you have no ideas on what you like and how to choose a niche Wealthy Affiliate will give you great ideas to pick any profitable niche which still has room to get in to.
I promote the local marketing thing that changed my life, but I’ve actually built a multiple 6 figure business with it already (still building that biz to this day, with 4 full-time employees working for me) and no one in this coaching group is allowed to promote it like I am. I am just one of the few that is since I am literally one of the original success students (effectively killed my job in 2015 & became a full-time internet entrepreneur).
Highly competitive: If you can’t generate traffic, you don’t make any sales. This is the biggest challenge. When everyone can sign up for these affiliate offers for free (very low barrier for entry), now you have a situation where there is a boatload of competition for most affiliate opportunity out there. Unless you use paid traffic, most people get traffic from building a website and ranking it in Google, which is what Wealthy Affiliate teaches, but the problem is there’s only 10 spots on the first page of Google. & you have to compete for those spots with thousands of affiliates around the world.
I guess what my question is.? Besides the monthly membership payment what else is involved as far as paying out of pocket to become an affiliate online marketer.? What about Fee’s to post on social media sites? Fee for a domain name? Besides 47.00 a month am I looking at around 200 or 500 or a $1000.00 to get up and running after I finish the training and videos? I’m pretty gunho about wanting to do a start up business online. I’m always doing something online figured why not try to supplement my income and have my laptop and Kindle fire and iPhone work for me… If it’s possible can you give me some clarification on total investment before I go ahead and do this. And thank you for your honesty.. I know nothing is guarantee ‘d but I have the drive to try and make a dime or two…. Have a Great day…
